They support NHS trusts and private medical sectors with staffing solutions covering a range of specialisms including GPs, AHP staff, doctors, nurses as well as non-medical administrative or managerial staff.

“I started in 2012 so this will be my 10th year in recruitment. It has been hard work as the role is demanding and very fast paced but it’s also enjoyable, everyday is different and it’s a job that rewards hard workers with the right attitude.”

“It always feels good helping candidates, especially during the last 18 months which has been extremely stressful for all healthcare workers.”

“There are obvious ones like communication, time management and relationship building skills etc but personally I think the most important thing is to be a determined individual, especially when you start out the other skills are all ones that can learnt and developed along the way.”

“July 2013, How has it been? It been a long journey. Hard work and consistency is what enables me to be good at my job. Relationship with clients and candidates Is essential to meeting targets and expectations.”

How does it make you feel when helping your candidates?
“Feels amazing. Knowing that I can provide enough work for candidates where they don’t need a permanent job and are able to just rely on Mylocum financially. Dealing with candidates in a professional manner also help to retain the candidate and gain further business via referrals.”

“Need to have passion, be eager to learn, hunger and dedication. Skills wise, basic IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft.”
