NHS

When you start out as a NHS nurse or doctor, you spend years in training and invest so much money, time and effort into your education. You may also make use of a healthcare recruitment agency. Then, when you start out in a hospital as a trainee, you may feel very overwhelmed and like a cog in a big machine. It is normal to feel this way but not ideal. The NHS can be a gruelling place to work in because of the high demand, They want you to feel seen, heard and appreciated. The 3 campaigns in this blog are examples of how inclusive the NHS is as a community.

1.#Clapforourcarers: Campaign on appreciating the hard work of doctors and carers during the fight against the pandemic.

The campaign started on the 26th of March, 2020 with a million people standing on their windows or front doors and clapping for the healthcare workers of the NHS. People came out and banged on pots and pans too to show their love and appreciation by Anne – Marie Plas. and went on for nine weeks with people coming out to clap every Thursday at 8 pm till the 28th of May. Members of the royal family, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak had participated.

NHS heavily publicized the campaign. They used hoardings and banners all around the UK so that they could show their own support and appreciate their own staff as well. Its intention was to appreciate the doctors, nurses and healthcare workers. After all, they put their own lives at risk and worked to ensure the safety of the population of the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.

We, at Mylocum, also  appreciate the efforts which were put in by the NHS doctors and nurses and thank them for it. We are a leading UK based healthcare recruitment agency providing opportunities for locum work to the doctors and nurses of the NHS. There are a lot of vacancies available for roles in different parts of the UK. International Nurses Day is celebrated on the 12th of May, The NHS also plays a big role in celebrating it to the best of its capacity. They work towards inclusion of nurses from a variety of different backgrounds as well. No, nurse or midwife is ever discriminated against because of their place of origin, colour, sexuality, or race. The only deciding factor for a nurse in the NHS is skill which comes from education and hard work.

The hard work, dedication and quality of care provided by the nurses and midwives is considered. This day marks a celebration organised by the NHS in different hospitals for them. There are banners and hoardings which make the public aware of their contribution all around the UK. People congratulate the nurses and express their gratitude to them.
